Is Pan Number mandatory to avail for Foreign Exchange?

Yes, it is mandatory for the resident individual to provide his/her Permanent Account Number (PAN) for all transactions.

What are the mandatory KYC documents for outward remittance?

Pan Card & Valid POA – Passport / Aadhaar Card.

For Family Maintenance Relationship with Beneficiary, which are the eligible relationships?

Husband , Wife, Father, Mother, Step-father, Step-Mother, Son, Stepson, Son’s Wife, Daughter, Daughter’s Husband, Sister, Brother, Step-Brother and Step-Sister.

While sending funds under purpose of Gift, can the beneficiary be an Individual or Overseas Company?

Under purpose for Gift, the beneficiary can be only a Non-Resident Individual. If the beneficiary is a Non-Individual or Resident Individual, such transactions would not be accepted.

What is Liberalised Remittance Scheme (LRS) of RBI?

Under this scheme any Indian resident can transfer maximum upto USD 2,50,000 or equivalent in a given financial year (from 1st April till 31st March) abroad for allowed purposes by RBI. However, in cases where the purpose of transfer is- Education or Medical Treatment and emigration, an individual is allowed to remit more than USD 2,50,000.

Can I do outward remittance from my NRE or NRO Account?

Currently outward remittance facility is restricted to Resident customers only.

How to make Outward Remittance In 3 easy Steps?

Minimum amount you can send is USD 100 or equivalenVisit nearest Suryoday Samarohi Branch and fill the A2 form (IndusInd Bank’s Format) along with beneficiary details (Overseas Account details and SWIFT Code). Transaction will be processed basis necessary checks and balances at the Bank’s level and additional information / documentation may be sought if required. Post completion of transaction the SWIFT receipt is made available to you.t. Maximum amount allowed per transaction is USD 25,000 or equivalent. In case if you wish to transfer a sum higher than USD 25,000 additional documentation will be required.
